Strep throat – Symptoms & causes

The bacterial infection known as strep throat causes swelling and pain in the throat. Streptococcus group A is the bacterium that causes this common condition. All ages, including children, are susceptible to strep throat. Kids from 5 to 15 years old, however, are especially vulnerable. People can contract strep throat via coughing, sneezing, sharing dishes, or coming into close contact with someone who has the virus. It is possible for streptococcal germs to spread. They can be spread by sharing food or drinks, or by the droplets that are emitted when an infected person sneezes or coughs. Here you know about strep throat symptoms and causes at IMC Hospital.
